The New York Giants acquire Sage Rosenfels from the Vikings
The Giants have acquired 32-year old QB Sage Rosenfels from the Vikings for a conditional draft pick. Rosenfels didn’t get into any games last season for the Vikings as he was stuck behind Brett Favre and Tarvaris Jackson. In New York though, he will be the #2 guy behind Eli Manning. Rosenfels has played in 32 games (12 starts) in his NFL career and he has completed 351 of 562 passes (62.5%) for 4,156 yards with 30 TD passes and 29 INTs (81.9 QB Rating). Rosenfels has also carried the ball 45 times for 98 yards (2.2 ypc) with 1 TD run in his career to date. The Giants have cut Rhett Bomar as they are only going with 2 QBs in 2010. I love this deal for the Giants as Rosenfels is a really good backup QB.
