The New York Giants will be without 26-year old CB Terrell Thomas for the rest of the season as he tore his right ACL in last night’s game against the Bears. This is a gigantic blow to the Giants’ D as Thomas is a pretty darn good corner. Thomas played in all 16 games for the Giants last year and he had 101 tackles, 1 sack, 4 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, 4 tackles for a loss, 5 interceptions and 21 passes defensed. Thomas has now played in 44 games in his first three years with the Giants and he has 231 tackles, 14 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks, 6 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, 38 passes defensed and 11 interceptions (1 returned for a TD). The Giants are going to likely have big time issues in the secondary as they will try to cover for Thomas in 2011 and that won’t be easy.
