About Giants Locker

Blogged under General by admin on Thursday 16 February 2006 at 3:45 pm

The blog locker network was created with the vision to start a community of football fans who were passionate about their home teams.  The blog format allows anyone to become a sportswriter and to express their opinions.  We wanted a place for football fans to call their own.

The blog format allowed our writers to set the tone and direction of the sites. Essentially these are user built sites, written by the fans, for the fans.

    Dear Giant Fan,

I’m wary to write this letter. It’s not of my character or upbringing to intercede in the personal matters of others, especially people I do not know.

But, as someone who has experienced loss I know the leavening effect a little foreknowledge can have on grief. So this letter is one of condolence. For your loss. The loss you will experience on November 12th at the Meadowlands. It is there that the Monsters of the Midway — our Monsters of the Midway — will end the Giant’s season and relegate them to the ignominy of a chance — if they’re lucky — at a wild card spot. Or, more likely here, some middling slot in the draft.

Prepare, my friend, for the weeks when Chicago comes to New York, owns the town, destroys the competition, and heads home to continue their march to Miami.

    With our condolences,

The U.S. Government has issued 65,000 green cards this year for the purpose of allowing people of foreign birth to live and work in the United States. But what is a green card? How does it work and what is the application process?…
