The New York Giants drafted WR Hakeem Nicks in the first round and will give him every opportunity to replace the departed Plaxico Burress in the starting lineup in 2009.  Nick is a big guy at 6’0″, 210 pounds but he’s not a speed burner running a 4.55 40.  Nicks is very aggressive with the ball in the air as he catches the football away from his body.  Nicks played in 36 games (34 starts) in his three seasons with North Carolina and he caught 181 passes for 2,840 yards (15.7 avg) with 21 TD grabs.  This was a outstanding pick for the Giants as Nicks should fill a big need for the Giants.
