New York Giants 38, Buffalo Bills 21
The New York Giants exploded for three TDs in the 4th quarter (2 of them on defense) to lock up a playoff spot. Eli Manning had another game to forget as he was 7 for 15 for 111 yards with 2 interceptions. He also fumbled an amazing 5 times….losing 2 of them! Brandon Jacobs was outstanding against the Bills as he carried the ball 24 times for 145 yards (6.0 ypc) with 2 TD runs. Rookie Ahmad Bradshaw had an outstanding game as he carried the ball 17 times for 151 yards (8.9 ypc) with a 88-yard TD return. Amani Toomer led the way in the passing game for the Giants with 5 catches for 99 yards (19.8 avg). The Giants finished up with 291 yards rushing on 47 carries (6.2 ypc) and they also completed 7 of 15 passs for 94 yards.
Linebacker Kawika Mitchell was dominating in this game as he had 6 tackles, 2 sacks and he returned a interception 20 yards for a TD. CB Corey Webster also returned a pickoff for a TD covering 34 yards and he also made 2 tackles. The Bills finished up with 117 yards rushing on 28 carries (4.2 ypc) and they also completed 9 of 26 passes for 127 yards.
In regard to the holidays and the season about to close, I give the gift of poem:
T’was the night before Xmas,
And all through the league,
The Patriots were rollin’,
Even through In-dy.
But just as the path seemed complete,
There was one more team that had to compete.
T’was the new york football giants,
known as the GMEN
As the last obsticale B4 a perfect season.
The Giants are no favorites,
Underdogs to choose.
But any given Sunday the best team can lose.
As the days get colder,
The stage is now set for the season closer.
Will it be history in the end?
Or will the GMEN beat them instead?
Be encased in time the Pats could be,
Or the Giants send a message….
I guess we’ll just have to see!!!
