The Giants put up a helluva fight Saturday Night with the undefeated Patriots and they almost pulled out a win.  Give Coach Coughlin credit for trying to ruin the Patriots season despite already being locked in to play the Bucs next week.  Eli Manning was outstanding as he completed 22 of 32 passes for 251 yards with 4 TD passes and 1 interception.  Brandon Jacobs had a solid game as he carried the ball 15 times for 67 yards (4.5 ypc) and he also caught 5 passes for 44 yards (8.8 avg) with a TD grab.  Plaxico Burress (4 rec, 84 yards, 2 TDs) and TE Kevin Boss (4 rec, 50 yards, TD) also had good games for the Giants.  The Giants finished with 79 yards rushing on 19 carries (4.2 ypc) and they also completed 22 of 32 passes for 237 yards.

LBs Reggie Torbor (10 tackles, sack) and Gerris Wilkinson (9 tackles) led the way for the Giants on defense.  The Patriots finished up with 44 yards rushing on 26 carries (1.7 ypc) and they also completed 32 of 42 passes for 346 yards.

The New York Giants exploded for three TDs in the 4th quarter (2 of them on defense) to lock up a playoff spot.  Eli Manning had another game to forget as he was 7 for 15 for 111 yards with 2 interceptions.  He also fumbled an amazing 5 times….losing 2 of them!  Brandon Jacobs was outstanding against the Bills as he carried the ball 24 times for 145 yards (6.0 ypc) with 2 TD runs.  Rookie Ahmad Bradshaw had an outstanding game as he carried the ball 17 times for 151 yards (8.9 ypc) with a 88-yard TD return.  Amani Toomer led the way in the passing game for the Giants with 5 catches for 99 yards (19.8 avg).  The Giants finished up with 291 yards rushing on 47 carries (6.2 ypc) and they also completed 7 of 15 passs for 94 yards.

Linebacker Kawika Mitchell was dominating in this game as he had 6 tackles, 2 sacks and he returned a interception 20 yards for a TD.  CB Corey Webster also returned a pickoff for a TD covering 34 yards and he also made 2 tackles.  The Bills finished up with 117 yards rushing on 28 carries (4.2 ypc) and they also completed 9 of 26 passes for 127 yards.

The Giants just didn’t get much offense going in this game and it cost them.  Eli Manning was awful as he only completed 18 of 52 passes for 184 yards with a TD pass.  Brandon Jacobs had a good game with 25 carries for 130 yards (5.2 ypc).  Sinorice Moss led the way in the receiving corps for the Giants with 5 catches for 53 yards (10.6 avg).  Rookie TE Kevin Boss added 2 receptions for 31 yards (15.5 avg) with a TD.  The Giants finished up with 139 yards rushing on 28 carries (5.0 ypc) and they also completed 18 of 52 passes for 168 yards.

The Giants defense was led by DE Justin Tuck who had 8 tackles and a sack.  The Redskins finished up with 153 yards rushing on 35 carries (4.4 ypc) and they also completed 8 of 25 passes for 156 yards.

The Giants won this game with solid defense and a offense that made a big play when they had to.  Eli Manning completed 17 of 31 passes for 219 yards with 1 TD pass.  Brandon Jacobs had a rough time as he carried the ball 22 times for 70 yards (3.2 ypc) and he also caught 3 passes for 11 yards (3.7 avg).  Jacobs also lost 2 fumbles in this game.  Reuben Droughns made the most of his carries as he toted the ball 3 times for 34 yards (11.3 ypc).  Plaxico Burress had a big game as he caught 7 passes for 136 yards (19.4 avg) with a TD grab.  The Giants finished up with 111 yards rushing on 27 carries (4.1 ypc) and they also completed 17 of 31 passes for 207 yards.

Linebacker Kawika Mitchell led the Giants defense with 10 tackles.  The Eagles finished with 141 yards rushing 0n 28 carries (5.0 ypc) and they also completed 20 of 31 passes for 165 yards.

Running back Derrick Ward will miss the remainder of the season with a fractured fibula.  That is a shame as Ward established himself as a good running back this season.  Ward played in 8 games this season for the Giants and he carried the ball 125 times for 602 yards (4.8 ypc) with 3 TD runs and he also caught 26 passes for 179 yards (6.9 avg) with 1 TD grab.  Luckily for the Giants it appears that Brandon Jacobs is ready to return to action.
