New York Giants 33, San Francisco 49ers 15

The Giants dominated the 49ers in this game right from the start.  Eli Manning was efficient as he completed 18 of 31 passes for 146 yards passing with 2 TD passes and 1 interception.  Brandon Jacobs did the heavy lifting in the running game as he carried the ball 18 times for 107 yards (5.9 ypc) with 1 TD run and he also caught 3 passes for 16 yards.  Derrick Ward also pitched in with 7 carries for 27 yards (3.9 ypc).  Plaxico Burress had a off game for him with 5 catches for 43 yards.  Jeremy Shockey (5 rec, 39 yards) and Amani Toomer (3 rec, 36 yards) each caught a TD pass.  The Giants finished up with 140 yards rushing on 31 carries (4.5 ypc) and they also completed 18 of 32 passes for 139 yards.

The Giants kept up the pass rushing attack as they sacked Trent Dilfer 6 times in this game.  DE Osi Umenyiora was dominant again against the 49ers as he had 3 tackles, 1 sack and 2 fumble recoveries….one that he returned 75 yards for a TD!  Michael Strahan was also a beast against the Niners with 3 tackles and 2.5 sacks.  The 49ers rushed for 103 yards on 18 carries (5.7 ypc) and they completed 23 of 38 passes for 164 yards.
