New York Giants vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
The Giants had their five-game winning streak snapped last week when the Bears smacked them down 38-20! The Jaguars suffered a disappointing loss to the Texans last week. The Jags have been playing great defense, as they have only given up 26 total points the last three weeks.
Look for the Giants to run Tiki Barber (971 yards rushing) and Brandon Jacobs (286 yards rushing) at the Jags defense that allows 103.7 yards rushing per game. After the Giants establish the running game, look for Eli Manning to take some shots deep to Plaxico Burress. Also, Manning will be looking for Shockey to keep the Jags safeties honest so that they can’t sneak up to help in run support.
The Jaguars must be able to run the football or they will be in trouble on Monday Night. Fred Taylor (696 yards rushing) and Maurice Drew (331 yards rushing) will test the Giants defense all night long. David Garrard is also a good running QB, which should help. The Jags lack speed at receiver, so Garrard will have to be sharp on the short passes.
The Giants have the better football team and should win this football game.
