Giants get a week to soothe egos

The ugliness that came out of the beating the Seahawks applied to the Giants needs a little time to fade away.  Jeremy Shockey and Tom Coughlin have to remember that they are on the same side and need to quit picking on each other in the media.

Offensively, the Giants have looked pretty good.  On defense they have a split personality so far.  The Giants are stuffing the opponents running game, allowing only 89.0 yards per game and 2.9 yards per carry.  The pass rush has disappeared into thin air, as the Giants only have 2 sacks this season.  The Giants are allowing their opponents to complete 63.9% of their passes for 281 net yards passing per game.  Those issues need fixed or the Giants will have to win a bunch of shootouts this season.

I think the Giants will be fine. In fact, I put a little bet on them in Las Vegas to win the Super Bowl. They will come out smoking after the bye week….mark my words.
