It’s all about Eli Manning
Eli Manning had a good second season with the Giants passing for 3,762 yards with 24 TD passes and 17 interceptions, but he looked like the same deer in headlights in the playoffs as he did in his rookie season. Hopefully he forgets that playoff game and continues to build on his success as a sophomore. Manning has a lot of the same skills as his brother and a great supporting cast on offense. With Tiki Barber, Amani Toomer, Jeremy Shockey, Plaxico Burress and Sinorice Moss around, Manning should put up another fine season.
Tim Hasselbeck is the back-up for the Giants. Hasselbeck is nothing special, but he could probably to an adequate job if called upon with the offensive arsenal at hand. Hasselbeck has only 11 games of NFL experience (5 starts) and has completed 53.7% of his passes for 1,012 yards with 5 TD passes and 7 interceptions for a career rating of 63.6.
Jared Lorenzen is the third stringer. He was a good QB in college, but he’s not in very good shape which would hurt him if forced into duty.
